Fisher Cottage

A riverside home that brings the day’s catch to the pantry.

The river update combines two permanent beds with a working fishery. One arrived, eligible worker catches fish, credited to the village’s existing food supply. This feature is in development and may not appear in your build yet.

These are the current development rules. Rivers and fishing may not be available in your version yet. Read the river guide →

01 / Find its place

Make room for it.

Build on dry ground near river water, within four metres of the building’s footprint. Keep the two-metre bank corridor and cottage entrance clear; the cottage cannot sit on the water or replace a bank path.

Keep it working.

Production starts after construction finishes and an eligible resident arrives at work. The listed rate is a base working cycle, not a promise of uninterrupted output: sleep, hunger, comfort, upgrades and full storage can affect it.

02 / Help it grow

Improvements & appearance.

Use Improve in the building details to raise its tier, up to tier 3. Read the quoted materials and work time before confirming. The plot stays the same. A home improvement raises comfort; it does not add beds. Productive buildings gain output as their tier rises.

03 / A little help

If something seems stuck.

No water access, missing staff, unfinished construction or an active improvement can stop fishing. Full food stores also stop useful catches. Boats do not provide passenger or cargo transport in this version.
