Forager Shelter

A small, affordable start to a steady food supply.

The Forager Shelter gives a resident a food-producing workplace. It costs only timber, making it useful early on while you establish homes and a garden.

01 / Find its place

Make room for it.

Keep its entrance reachable from the Hearth’s path network. A short, clear walk helps the worker arrive; a job assignment on its own does not mean someone is working yet.

Keep it working.

Production starts after construction finishes and an eligible resident arrives at work. The listed rate is a base working cycle, not a promise of uninterrupted output: sleep, hunger, comfort, upgrades and full storage can affect it.

02 / Help it grow

Improvements & appearance.

Use Improve in the building details to raise its tier, up to tier 3. Read the quoted materials and work time before confirming. The plot stays the same. Productive buildings gain output as their tier rises.

03 / A little help

If something seems stuck.

Inspect the worker and the food store. Production needs a completed shelter and someone at work, and it pauses when there is no storage room for the food.
