A bunkhouse and training yard where villagers become soldiers.

A staffed Barracks trains villagers into guards and archers. It is the middle of the three soldier houses: one warden at the post and room for four more soldiers on the roster, on an eight-by-eight-metre plot.

## Make room for it.

Give it a connected door and room for its yard: it occupies eight by eight metres. A Patrol Barracks fits a tighter corner, and a Company Barracks needs nearly twice the ground.

## If something seems stuck.

An unstaffed Barracks trains nobody, and a soldier leaves their old job while they serve. Another soldier house raises the roster further, up to a village limit of fourteen.
